No Quarter Given

Hobart, Tasmania provided the setting for the start of the year at Quinag Communication as 1 January’s final prizegiving of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race marked the fitting end to a record-breaking edition of the race which saw Anthony Bell’s Perpetual Loyal pulverise the race record. Quinag was mandated to work on the international media coverage, distributing photography, press releases and video highlights.


 In the height of the ski season, Tignes (France) is as far removed from the Australian summer as you can get. In late February and in subzero temperatures, Quinag assisted the BRND WGN agency on a video and photography shoot for DAN – Divers Alert Network. The subject of the film was Alban Michon, one of the world’s most prominent explorers and ice divers.

Supporting the launch of an exciting new concept in the world of sailing followed. Nautor’s Swan is an international boat builder of international vigour and is utilising Quinag’s comprehensive knowledge of the sailing world to promote its new event, The Nations Trophy.

The Nations Trophy is designed to revitalize the concept of competition between nations. It is an event which celebrates the history and spirit of international sailing, and reflects the camaraderie and competiveness central to the success of the sport. The first edition will take place from 10-14 October with Quinag mandated to manage the event communication. One of its first tasks was to oversee the official launch presentation of The Nations Trophy in Florence on 16 March.

From Florence to Milan where members of the Quinag team covered the Milan-Sanremo race for clients in the cycling world. The race, the longest one-day classic in the world, is a gruelling early season test ahead of the Giro d’Italia and Tour de France.

Quinag has continued to work on the Furia sailing project centered around supporting young Swiss talents sailing a Luthi F10 and a 470. Quinag has continued to develop the campaign’s website and produced documents around the 2017 season.

The first quarter of 2017 has been interesting, rewarding and challenging. The coming months will see the Quinag team work on a number of new projects from the launch of a biography to events in the Mediterranean and content campaigns in the world of cycling and sailing.
